Parahawking in Pokhara, Nepal

Planning for a Parahawking adventure in Pokhara ? Well if you want then your journey will start with two trained Egyptian vultures Bob and Kevin. It’s just the Paragliding but you will be carrying some food for the Vulture (mostly buffalo meat) with you so you can feed the one when you will be Parahawking. While you are on your flight the vulture will get near to you, sit on your hand and eat the food and flies away, this process repeats time to time until you land on the ground.

The parahawking experience lasts for about 30 minutes. During your flight you can get the 8,000 meter snow capped mountains around you which are reflecting in the lake just below you.

The price for parahawking is $170 however about $10.50 which is 1,000 Nepalese rupees are donated to vulture conservation project in Nepal. As vulture, the nature cleaner are about to extinct from the world, some of it’s species are already out of this world. Ghachok Vulture Restaurant which is a community managed safe vulture feeding near Pokhara is helping to preserve these creatures.
